The Alternative Contact feature allows you to specify another extension that incoming callers can easily and quickly speak with in the case that you are not currently available. Your webmail interface contains many features that are connected to your fastmetrics™ phone system. We call this unified communication. Alternative Contact is just one of these many features. ![]() When you enable an Alternative Contact, incoming callers can simply press 9 in the voicemail menu to be transferred to your Alternative Contact. For example: you could specify your receptionist, operator or company directory as your Alternative Contact. To configure an Alternative Contact, first you will need to log into your webmail.
If you have Pronto installed, you can set up Alternative Number / Contact from there also.
