MAPI Installation Procedures

Download the MAPI connector from our web site at the following location: http://www.fastmetrics.com/downloads/

Install Mapi Connector Open the MAPI connector using WinZip or the built-in window compression utility. Open the Installer and follow the prompts. Click on Install.

Microsoft Outlook 2007

1. scroll down for the instructions.

Click on E-Mail Accounts.

In the group of options at the top of the dialog, select Add a new e-mail account. Then click Next.

Select Additional Server Types. Then click Next.

Select Communigate Pro Server. Then click Next.

Fill out the following information.   Server Name: mail.yourdomain.com Server Port Number: Leave at 143 Use a Secure (SSL/TLS) connection: This is optional, in case you want all of your email transactions to use Secure Sockets for all connections. This will slow down your mail. Account Information: Select “Use the following authentication details”. Then enter the Username & Password for your account. Click on Remember Password.   Now click the Advanced Tab.   Then click on Account Settings.

For Name enterfirst name and last name For E-mail address enter your full address ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Click on Update. Then click OK. Restart Microsoft Outlook to start using your new Fastmetrics Mail setup.

Microsoft Outlook 2007

When using Microsoft Outlook 2007, you will not see a message prompting you to make changes to the existing email account. You must create a new account using the new protocol that you just downloaded. The new account that you are creating can be exactly what you already have in a different protocol like POP3 or IMAP. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007. Select Account Settings from the Tools menu.

Choose Other. Select Communigate Pro Server (MAPI). Click Next.

Select options as shown in the figure to the right. Click on Account Settings.

For Name enter your first and last name. For E-mail address enter your full email address ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Click Update.

Click OK.

You will see this message. Click OK.

MAPI has now been installed. Click Finish. You must restart Microsoft Outlook to start using your new Fastmetrics Mail setup.

How To Install And Set Up MAPI in Microsoft 2003 and 2007

MAPI Installation Procedures

1. Download the MAPI connector from our web site at the following location. http://www.fastmetrics.com/downloads/
2. Open the MAPI connector using 7Zip or a built-in compression utility.
3. Open the Installer and follow the prompts.
4. Click on install
5. After it has been installed you will see a message asking you to configure your Mail Profile Select “Yes”.

Microsoft Outlook 2003 Instructions

1. You will now see the Mail Setup window. Click on “E-Mail accounts”.
2. Within the E-mail accounts window select “Add a new e-mail account”, and click next.
3. Under the Server Type window select “Additional Server Types”, and click on next
4. Under the E-mail accounts window select “Fastmetrics/Communigate Pro Server” and click Next.
5. Within the “Fastmetrics/Communigate Mail Connector Properties” window please fill out the following information.
6. Server Name: mail.yourdomain.com
7. Server Port Number: Leave at 143
8. Use a Secure (SSL/TLS) connection: This is optional, in case you want all of your email transactions to be using SSL security for all connections; this slows down your mail.
9. Account Information: Select “Use the following authentication details” and type in your Username & Password for your account. Click on “Remember Password” and then click on the “Advanced Tab.”
10. For MAPI. Select port 143 enter your e-mail address and password, the name of your server will be mail.yourdomain.com click OK when you finish.
11. Click on Account Settings and type in your First and Last name into the input box and your email address, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
12. Click on Update
13. Click OK to close out the window. Now you must restart Microsoft Outlook to start using your new Fastmetrics Mail setup.

Microsoft Outlook 2007 instructions

When using Microsoft Outlook 2007, you will not see a message prompting you to make changes to the existing email account, you have to create a new account using the new protocol that you just downloaded, the new account that you are creating can be exactly what you already have ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 1. Open Microsoft Outlook then go to tools and click on account settings
2. select new
3. Select Other
4. Choose Communigate Pro Server (MAPI), and click next
5. make sure port 143 is the one entered the server name will be mail.yourdomain.com
6. enter your email address and password
7. Click on Account Settings and type in your First and Last name into the input box and your email address, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Click update
8. Click OK when finished
9. You will see a message, click OK
10. click finish
11.  You must restart Microsoft Outlook to start using your new Fastmetrics Mail setup.
